United Way Lloydminster & District (UWLD) announces that it will be ceasing operations effective August 31, 2025.

Despite our deep commitment to serving the Lloydminster region and surrounding communities for over 72 Years, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to close the Organization due to significant capacity challenges.

This is an incredibly emotional time for our Board, Staff, and Volunteers. Our Organization has always been grounded in the belief that local people can make a local difference.

While we are heartbroken to bring this chapter to a close, we do so with pride in the positive impact we've made together.

During this transition, the Organization remains committed to transparency and to honoring the relationships that have shaped its work, as well as dispersing all donations made to date within our community, true to their intent.

The Board extends its heartfelt thanks to the donors, volunteers, community partners, and funded agencies who have stood with UWLD over the decades. Your unwavering support has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals and families.
